You should choose one and become proficient in it. □Learn a programming language: Data engineering requires proficiency in a programming language like Python, Java, or Scala. You should also learn how to use data warehousing tools like Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, or Snowflake. □Master Database Technologies: You will need to master SQL and database technologies like PostgreSQL, MySQL, and NoSQL databases. This can be achieved by taking online courses or attending workshops. □Learn Data Engineering Concepts: Start by gaining knowledge of data engineering concepts, such as data modeling, data warehousing, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load), data pipelines, and data architecture. In case you are pure beginner and looking for guided steps, then below mentioned steps would be helpful for sure □ (Check the full video for more details, link in the first comment □) My Interest was the top most priority, rest of the things were purely based on comparison & fact based analysis □ □ For me, Software Engineer to Data Engineer transition wasn't a Blind (Tukka/Sheep-Walk/Hype Based) Decision.
